September Skincare Haul

September Skincare Haul

To celebrate the first day of Fall (which is today if you don’t know), I recently stocked up on some goodies to make sure my skin/beauty regiment were ready for this new season. Many of these items are restocks that I actually used during my pregnancy with Harrison, while some are some new finds. So all new mommies looking for Pregnancy Friendly products to keep your skin happy & healthy, check these out :)

Sheet Mask are some of my favorite products due to their simplicity. Its a no-fuss way of treating your skin and targeting areas of concerns in a short amount of time and low cost. I love stocking up on Tony Moly Sheet Masks ever since I tried their Honey Dew Mask, which I gifted to some special ladies at my baby shower. Tony Moly has a great variety of masks that address concerns ranging from glow, elasticity, pore control and purifying just to name a few. Most of the mask take about 20 minutes and you can find them at Ulta Beauty for under $5. Personally, I love using these mask once a week or every other week depending on what areas of concern I’d like to address on my skin. You will always find these in my travel bag as well since I like to mask whenever I travel. Plus with the holiday season around the corner, these are great stock stuffer options to consider.

I’ve always suffered from dry lips and have tired a ton of different chapsticks to redeem the issue. However, after hearing about the hype of Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, which helps hydrated your lips to leave them smooth while reducing fine lines, I knew I had to give it a try. Honestly, this has been a game changer for me. Laneige’s formula included vitamin C, antioxidants and boasts hyaluronic acid and minerals that form a film over your lips that lock in the necessary moisture and active ingredients. A little goes a long way to leave your lips smooth, flake-less and moisturized in the morning. It’s made a huge different even with lipstick and gloss application for me & I highly recommend if this is a problem area for you like it is for me.

I was first introduced to this product about a year ago when I watched in a Sephora on a trip to Boston. I remember getting a sample size and telling myself that as soon as my current moisturizer was done, I was going to commit to a full size of Herbivore’s Pink Cloud and luckily a few months ago, I finally did. Here’s the thing, being a skincare junkie can suck when you’re pregnant since many products contain some serious chemicals that aren’t good for your bebe. But Herbivore is all natural, began and cruelty-free. They contain no synthetic ingredients—no dyes, fragrances, chemical additives, toxins, or synthetic preservatives. Plus they use the minimum amount of ingredients necessary to achieve the maximum results and my skin feels just as good as it did when I used other moisturizers that are loaded with ingredients I couldn’t use before.

Pink Cloud really hydrates and smooths my skin but also leaves a slight dewy finish. It’s made with rosewater, aloe water, sodium hyaluronate, white tea, and rice extracts to hydrate, soothe, and reduce appearance of redness. It sounds as heavenly as it feels and is just the perfect moisturizer since it works for ALL SKIN TYPES. RUN to Sephora and give it a try….thank me later.

Trader Joe’s Facial Rose Oil

During my last TJ’s run, I ran into the beauty/skin section and found their Facial Rose Oil which peaked my interest. I had been researching for a bit on serums that I can use during my pregnancy since again, most of stuff contains retinol (which is a no no when you are pregnant) and found that Rose Oil could be what I had been looking for. Some benefits of using Rose Oil in your skin routine including helping to heal scars, moisturizing, fighting inflammation (redness), offers antiseptic and astringent properties to treat acneic skin and refines the texture of your skin to name a few. In short, this is something I should have been using for a while and although most Rose Oil’s at Sephora or Ulta will run anywhere between $10-$65 a bottle…TJ has for $6! I’ve personally noticed a different in my skin (less puff in the morning, smoother and brighter) and have really enjoyed it the last few weeks.

If you pick up any of these items to try or have any questions, please feel free to reach out and let me know if you love, hate or have other recommendations I should be trying & sharing with you all! Hope these products help you celebrate the kick start to the new Fall Season.

XO,

Nico
